System Requirements

Specific system requirements can be determined during consultation for the Optus Professional Installation.

1To connect to the Optus Business Broadband service, you must connect a 12 month contract. Minimum total cost over 12 months for Business Broadband (on a $64.99 1GB plan, $273.90 installation fee) is $1053.78.

+Maximum speeds achievable on the Optus Network. Actual speeds will vary and may be slower. Many factors affect speeds such as your distance from the telephone exchange, your line condition, your hardware and software, the source of your download, and general internet traffic. Network theoretical download maximum is 20Mbps. Speeds shown are download/upload.

1. Optus Business Broadband is available to eligible business customers (as defined by Optus).
2. Optus Business Broadband is available only within the Optus coverage area or where extended access is maintained.
For commercial and technical reasons, not all businesses in Optus coverage areas can be connected to the service.
3. Some customers will be connected via ‘extended access’. This means the customer is required to have an existing copper phone service and maintain that phone service for the duration of their broadband agreement with Optus.
4. The ADSL modem included with the service is for use with the Optus Business Broadband service only. It remains the property of Optus at all times and must be returned to Optus on termination or cancellation of the service.
5. You will need to connect the ADSL service including the modem to your own computer(s).
6. 12 month contract term applies.
7. Early termination fees apply – details of these can be found in the Standard Form of Agreement.
8. No further discount is available on the Optus Business Broadband product.
9. Applications for the service must be in accordance with Optus Business Broadband Standard Terms and Conditions as outlined in the Standard Form of Agreement.
10. An Acceptable Use Policy applies. A copy of this can be found as an Appendix to the Standard Form of Agreement.
11. Optus reserves the right to amend rates at any time.
12. For technical and commercial reasons, Optus reserves the right to limit uploads and downloads.
